People Handling Introduction  - Full day course £120

Practical techniques including:

Bringing client forward in the chair

Sit to stand with 1 or 2 people

Chair to chair transfers

Use of transfer board

Use of Ross return

Hoisting

Use of all purpose slings

Insertion of slings in chair/bed

Use of Slide sheets

The fallen and injured person

Certificate valid for 2 years


Delegates must attend a full day induction course prior to attending half day refresher course.


Delegates should be fit and well to undertake the course and conduct themselves with due regard to their own and the health and safety of others. Delegates will be required to sign a declaration of acceptance to undertake physical training techniques. Courses will start promptly and all delegates should arrive 10-15mins prior to course commencement.


Please note the training location maybe remote. Tea and coffee making facilities will be available but delegates should bring their own food if attending the full day course.



People Handling Refresher - Half day course £60.00

Sessions are 9.30am-12:30pm

First Aid

 Emergency First Aid at Work £120

Sessions are 9am-5pm

Dealing with an emergency (risk assessment, assessing the casualty, monitoring the casualty, getting help, electrical incidents.

AED (Use of, chain of survival)

Seizures

Shock and internal bleeding

Unresponsive and not breathing adult (face shields, pocket masks)

Choking Adult

Accident recording (RIDDOR, COSSH, Health & Safety and first aid)

Bleeding and wounds (Bandaging)

Burns (electrical and chemical)


Delegates must be fit and well to attend the session and are required to participate in activities in order to demonstrate competence.
